The Trix EA is based on the Trix indicator created by raff1410, it is for H4 timeframe.

You have to put the Trix_EA.mq4 in the "experts" file and the two other mq4 in the "indicators" file.

Do I need to attach both trix indicator to the chart? or just open TRIX indicator and ignore #MTF_trix?

Hi bnbb2004, in order that the SendEmail works, you have to put the UseAlert parameters on True.

I will keep you posted once I get the EA setup properly...I noticed that Fx Optimizer requires Microsoft.NET 2.0 in order to run, but I clicked on the site and it was in a language other than English. Do I really need .NET 2.0 in order to run the FX Optimizer?? If so, please let me know where I can get this download as it looks like there are several versions from. Thx! Oh yeah, you can translate an entire website at babelfish.yahoo.com :-)

So far so good with Trix EA!!! Thx sooo much for sharing with us!!!! :-) But I do have two questions...One is still about the parameters for the TP as I am not to familiar with changing these for the best optimization. For example, yesterday gbp/jpy was up 315 pips but received an alert that it was about to go in the opposite direction and inded up closing at 77 pips profit after the next signal (which was a buy) kicked in several hours later. :-( Please tell me what's the best way to optimize that so it will close the trade IMMEDIATELY at the next signal appearing (insteald of the lagging or delayed closed). Second question is about the EA not sending an email once a new signal is produced. The EA is set to True for Send Email, but I have never received anything (everything on the platform is setup correctly as I receive a test message, but none from Trix).. Once again thx for this EA it has some potential!!!! :-)

Hello, If you let the Take Profit on 0, it will close the order at the next opposite signal, you have to handle it (close manually or configure TP/TS).

So far the Trix EA has opened about 11 trades with 2 losses, which is AWESOME (the positive positions are still open)! I do have one question about the EA...Does it have a built in take profit? Because one of the positions opened is at +120 and I'm just wondering when will this position be closed by the EA. When will the EA close the positions are in profit?
